I started crafting seriously in 2002 when a former colleage introduced me to the world of handmade greeting cards. Very soon I was surrounded by a vast amounts of punches, peel off's and stamps - much to the delight of family and friends who were now looking forward receiving cards from me at any possible occassion.
But somehow I wasn't so happy - after all my beloved creations left my house to go live somewhere else. What was a girl to do?

Then by pure accident I saw an article about Scrapbooking, which until then meant to me - cutting out magazine articles about the Bay City Rollers (hey, not my fault I am a child of the 70's).
I surfed the net for some more information and in December 2004 joined an American Forum dedicated to this craft - the rest is history.

I embraced this hobby as my creative outlet and I am getting more and more obsessed with it. There is nothing  more rewarding than coming out of your craft room, covered in paint, glue and paper cut offs, with glitter in your hair and a finished page in your hand and have your spouse nodding with approval...(not about my outfit I hasten to add)

Starting my own online shop was the next step as I found that the items I was most fond of could not be purchased in smaller amounts. When Scrapitude went live in August 2005 no other online retailer in the UK offered Prima flowers in little baggies of 10, or eyelets, brads, buttons. I was the first to do so and many other retailers followed. For a little over a year Scrapitude offered Monthly Kits but due to constant supplier let downs I decided I could no longer offer this option, as I am someone who does not like to let anyone down.
